Our Guardian Angels
St. Michael, St. Gabriel, and St. Raphael are three Archangels of God. Their names have meanings and they share the same feast day, which is on September 29. We also honor these three in our prayers or during the Mass.
St. Michael the Archangel
Saint Michael is the patron saint of grocers, paratroopers, police, and sickness. His name means “Who is like to God” and is honored as patron and protector of the Church at the time of the Apostles. St. Michael did things that include protecting Heaven. When Satan and his followers attacked Heaven, St. Michael led an army of angels to fight Satan. Eventually, the angels
won the battle.
St. Michael today is watching over all of us, protecting us from sin and Satan. He is watching over the police, marines, and paratroopers so they can be safe from attacks and harm.

St. Gabriel the Archangel
Saint Gabriel is the patron saint of communication workers. His name means “Man of God,” or “God has shown Himself mighty.” In the Old Testament, St. Gabriel announced to Daniel the prophecy of the seventy weeks. He also appeared to Zachariah to announce the birth of St. John the Baptist. In the New Testament, he announced to Mary that she would bear a son who would be conceived by the Holy Spirit, the Son of God, and Savior of the world.
St. Gabriel today is protecting us and giving secret messages to God’s chosen ones. He is helping communication workers keep up the communication in the world.

St. Raphael the Archangel
Saint Raphael is the patron saint of travelers, the blind, happy meetings, nurses, and physicians. His name means “God heals.” In the Old Testament, St. Raphael disguised himself as a traveling companion to Tobias on his journey to retrieve his father’s
wealth. Tobias’ blindness was also cured from a fish that he caught during this journey.
St. Raphael today is watching over travelers by car, bus, train, airplane, and any kind of transportation, making sure we have safe trips.
We rely on these three archangels because they are our guardian angels. We should pray to them to protect us so we can be safe from
evil and sin. They are my favorite angels because they do big things. We pray that St. Michael, St. Gabriel, St. Raphael will protect us
and we would be safe from evil ones and sin.
